Abstract: Injury is a public health issue that cannot be ignored. Injury seriously threatens people's life and health. Death, disability and other consequences caused by injuries also bring heavy burden of disease and financial loss to social, family and individuals. Since 1980s, injury prevention and control in China developed rapidly in the continuous efforts of a large number of indefatigable experts and staffs of injury prevention and control. This paper reviewed the achievements and problems of Chinese injury prevention and control in the past 30 years, and could provide suggestions for future work.
