新中国成立70年来，在中国共产党领导下，中国公共卫生坚持预防为主的卫生工作方针，历经几代人的不懈努力，取得了巨大的成功，为保障人民群众的健康做出了巨大贡献。在庆祝中华人民共和国成立70周年之际，我刊开辟"卫生健康事业发展70年巡礼"专栏，邀请国内公共卫生领域著名专家和学者围绕新中国成立后特别是党的十八大以来中国公共卫生事业取得的伟大成就撰写专论和述评，以此展示新中国成立以来我国公共卫生的发展历程，总结中国公共卫生70年来砥砺奋进的宝贵经验。

摘要

摘要: 在中华人民共和国成立70周年之际，笔者回顾了过去70年我国地方病防控的历史和进程，梳理我国地方病防治成功的经验，提出我国地方病得到有效控制或消除的最根本原因在于中国共产党的坚强领导，在于优越的社会主义制度，在于规划引领、统筹兼顾，在于我国广大地方病防治研究工作者的不懈努力，在于我国经济社会的高速发展。

Abstract: On the occasion of 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the author reviews the historical course of endemic disease prevention and control in China in the past 70 years, combs the successful experience of endemic disease prevention and control in China and points out that the most fundamental reason for the effective control or elimination of endemic diseases in China lies in the firm leadership of the Communist Party of China, in the superior socialist system, in planning, guidance and overall consideration, in unremitting efforts of a number of researchers on endemic disease prevention and control and lies in the rapid development of China's economy and society.
